Savaii Lagoon Resort in Samoa is a boutique resort of eleven western style bungalows, self contained with a kitchenette and an ensuite. It is located in the village of Fagamalo on the north-east coast of Savaii.
This Savaii Lagoon Resort is absolute beachfront on one of the most stunningly beautiful beaches in Samoa. Whether you fill your days swimming or snorkeling, simply reading, sipping a cocktail or beer under our beach shade fales, you will be able totally relax and feel that the beach is exclusively yours.
There is a bar and restaurant on the beach for those who wish to dine out under the stars and also a dive charter for beginners to masters, operates from the lagoon which is safe for swimming and snorkeling at all times.
This area is renowned for its "glorious sunsets", a perfect place to stay in Samoa while on vacation.
Savaii Lagoon Resort in Savai’i has a restaurant serving light lunches and dinner in our beach bar and restaurant. There is also a shop outside the resort gate for basic provisions should you decide to do your own cooking. Next door is "Leilina’s Pizzeria”, serving delicious wood fired pizza’s accompanied by fresh salads. The resort has complimentary dinghies, pétanque, laundry facilities, a small library and a dive shop across the road.
Glass Bottom Boat
The resort has also launched the Glass Bottom Boat,which operates within the lagoon where Savaii Lagoon Resort is situated. The boat is equipped to take 15 passengers and 2 crew and will have 1 or 2 trips daily, excluding Sundays, dependent on tides and weather conditions. The trips will take place on either side of high tide to ensure that no damage is done to the delicate ecosystem.
The resort has it's own 7m charter boat which can be chartered for fishing and spearfishing trips. Common species caught include yellowfin, dogtooth, skipjack and albacore tuna, Masi Masi or dolphin fish, wahoo and occasional sailfish and marlin. Good fishing grounds are close to the resort with a seamount only 4 miles offshore. Fishing tackle, snacks and cold water provided. Charters can be tailored to suit. Please enquire with the resort.
The marine life and coral can be clearly viewed through the glass panels. It is an excellent way in which to view the coral gardens in the lagoon.
Charges for a trip on the Glass Bottom Boat are 40 tala for adults and 20 tala for children aged 5 years to 12 years.Under 5 are free, but please note that it may not be suitable for toddlers or those suffering from motion sickness.
